Palm Island Resort is a unique vacation hideaway on the Gulf Coast of Florida located south of Tampa/St. Petersburg, between Sarasota and Ft. Myers. The resort offers privately owned villas and homes for guests to enjoy, sitting on a two-mile stretch of pristine natural beachfront. The resort has a reputation as being the pinnacle of Southwest Florida family of coastal island communities.

DIRECTOR OF TENNIS
Art is a certified USPTA Elite Professional, as well as a IPTPA Pickleball Certified Instructor. Originally from Hawaii, Art is a graduate of the University of Hawaii at Hilo, where he played #1 singles and doubles for all 4 years, and in 2014 was inducted into the school's Athletic Hall of Fame for his tennis accomplishments. Since joining PBI in 1979, he has managed tennis programs in Asia, the Middle East, Europe, the Caribbean, as well as in the United States. Prior to coming to the Palm Island Resort, Art was the PBI Director of Tennis at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI for 28 years. He has also been a major performer in the PBI Tennis Show, dubbed as the "Harlem Globetrotters of Tennis," which performed in over 95 countries.
